The Marvin family has been deeply involved in the science, art and practice of maple sugaring since the 1940s. In 1986, David and Lucy Marvin began to transform a former schoolhouse, garage, and blacksmith shop into Marvin’s Country Store. Today Marvin’s Country Store is a fixture in downtown Johnson, Vermont.

Our story is steeped in history.

The appearance of the store may have changed over the years, but the shop has consistently focused on celebrating all things maple. Browse a robust selection of Butternut Mountain Farm maple products in addition to delectable items that use our maple syrup and sugar as an ingredient. Vermont specialties like cheese, honey, jams and local artisan gifts fill out the shelves.
